ATT was invited to exhibit at the prestigious Knitting and Stitching Shows 2007 in Birmingham (13-16 September 2007) and Harrogate (22-25 November 2007). It was decided that the title of the exhibition would be 'Made in Sheffield' giving members the opportunity to promote the area where we meet. A total of 96 pieces from 50 members were shown.
This exhibition travelled to Harding House Gallery, Lincoln, in June 2008 and The Workstation, Sheffield, in September 2008 where Sheffield's Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress were able to visit along with many friends, family and locals.
Lottery funding ‘Awards for all’ was obtained to help us complete it. As part of the stipulation for receiving the grant we also put on an extensive educational programme. ‘Live at Home’ for a group of elderly people, ‘Work’ on Ringinglow Road, Sheffield, for a group of disabled people and workshops with parent groups in 5 Sheffield schools.
